JORDAN KHLOE — What are your thoughts on being in love and how have you interpreted the shifting paradigms of love in your own life?
BLUE LOLAN — Most people when they think of being in love, they think of being in a romantic relationship with somebody, which is a wonderful thing, but love is so important to make sure this world goes round. Not only love with our partners but love with ourselves. We have to love ourselves before we love someone else and I think that without love, without putting love into every step I take, there’s no point.
JORDAN KHLOE — How do you think your efforts to educate people about conscious eating and living can help guide the young people of today and what can people do to get involved?
BLUE LOLAN — A lot of people think that pizza and bacon and stuff like that is cool, I wanted to create a platform that showed eating healthy and living a long life is cool. I have shirts on my website about gay rights, animal activism, health— I have these fruit stickers I can send to people and they can paste them up wherever they go. There are so many ways to get involved. And people don’t even have to do something directly with me, maybe they can do a #meatlessmonday and try to make a difference that way. There’s always a way to make a difference in the world.
JORDAN KHLOE — What makes you happiest?
BLUE LOLAN — Animals make me the happiest. All animals make me so happy and food makes me happy as well. When you put nourishing, healthy food in your body it will make you happy and make you feel so good and give you energy in everything you do.
JORDAN KHLOE — You have been working in the industry from a young age. How have you managed to retain your individuality throughout these experiences?
BLUE LOLAN — I started acting when I was one and then at age five took a break up until I was about thirteen. When I was fifteen I signed my first modeling contract and as of April 2017, I have my own company, The Frugivore. I’ve managed to maintain my individuality throughout this by making sure every time I make a decision, whether it be in modeling or in anything I do, I am conscious of that decision. That I’m not doing one thing in one aspect of my life and contradicting it in another.
